Coaching Application

Parents and other members of the St. Al’s community are welcome to apply for volunteer coaching and coordinator positions for our teams and sports.  Click the sport in the left column to learn more about coaches’ expectations for that sport. (Some pages and documents are still under construction.)

To be a coach or coordinator at St. Alphonsus, you must provide copies of the following completed forms to the principal’s office:

  1. Diocesan Centralized Database Application and a signed copy of the Pastoral Code of Conduct (at the end of the application process);
  2. A Certificate of Attendance for the Protecting God’s Children Seminar–enrollment at Virtus.org;
  3. Pennsylvania Criminal background check/clearance
  4. Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance
  5. A Certificate of Attendance for the “Play Like a Champion” coaching seminar that is required by the diocese.

If you have not completed all the requirements for coaching you will need to do so prior to being appointed as a coach. Please feel free to apply for the position now; however, you will need to advise the Board once your clearances have been finalized with the school. You can contact the Board at info@stalsaa.org.

Coordinators assist with the administration of specific sport, and positions exist for boys basketball, girls basketball, fall and spring soccer, boys volleyball, and girls volleyball.
